How to measure your dachshund's head circumference for the sun hat
1

Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of your doxie's head, just above the ears.

2

Keep it snug but comfortable, with room for one finger under the tape.

3

That number is your hat size. Between sizes? Size up and snug the chin strap.

Good questions

The details.

How do I know what size to order?

Measure around the widest part of your doxie's head and match it to the size chart above. Weight gives a rough guide, but head shape varies, so the measurement is your best bet.

Between sizes? Size up, then snug the chin strap.

Does it really help with sun or eye sensitivity?

The brim shades the eyes from direct sun, which a lot of our customers find helpful for senior doxies or dogs with light sensitivity on bright days.

It's not medical equipment, just a genuinely useful bit of shade. If your dog has an eye condition, your vet is always the best first call.

What's it made of, and how do I clean it?

Soft polyester corduroy outer with an adjustable elastic chin strap and toggle. Spot clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry.

What if it doesn't work out?

Exchanges are always free. If it's not right, send it back, no fee. Prefer a refund? There's a flat $6 handling fee.
